In Rheinland-Pfalz the number of housing associations is on the last ranks in comparison of the states. While in other states the number of new founded housing associations has partly gone up significantly, these new founded associations are rather rare in Rheinland-Pfalz.

The aim of the study “Housing associations in Rheinland-Pfalz, Chances and barriers of their expansion” is to research why the founding of associations in Rheinland-Pfalz is so rare in comparison to other states, to which extent the corporate organizational structures can be taken in to account for this and at which positions supporting structures are needed to assist the founding of Housing associations.

The research is government-funded by the Federal Ministry of Finances in Rheinland-Pfalz as part of the program “Experimental Housing and Urban Development” (ExWoSt).
